Kolob Theorem Concepts Superimposed upon Scriptures

Preface:

Where does God live? Can you point to it? Is it physical like our earth?
Where is the location of the celestial glory? Terrestrial? Telestial? Are they physical and real in time and space?
What has the Hubble telescope, used in outer space, revealed to us that we didn’t’ know before?
Why can’t we see God in our physical condition?.
How can God travel or communicate instantaneously?
How can we explain the heavens ’reeling”, at the time of the millennium
Where is the location the creations of God’s father and grandfather and his exalted children?
How does Christ govern throughout the immensity of space through the light of Christ?

The Kolob Theorem is presented for your contemplation. These ideas are only theories. They are the result of the author’s (Lynn M Hilton and Richard K. Miner) attempts to study the scriptures and astronomy, as suggested by the Lord, and to try to understand them at least in part. We pretend no revelation. But do await the glorious day, spoken of by the Lord to Joseph Smith: “A time to come in the which nothing shall be withheld”… D&C 121:28)

Preamble

“We reject the idea that Heaven is ethereal, unfathomable, and unknowable. We propose that it can be described in terms which are concrete, realistic and understandable.” (Kolob Theorem)

All places and living entities which God has created are composed of three eternal elements:

1. Physical matter or element, ‘The elements are eternal.”

2. Spiritual matter: D&C 131:7, All Spirit is matter”, tangible matter with structure, which is exceedingly “fine or pure” and invisible to the human eye.

3. Intelligence: D&C 93:36“The glory of God is intelligence or in other words, light and truth.”

When intelligence is given body structure by spiritual element it becomes a living entity called an “intelligence”, or a “spirit”. When this entity is given body structure by physical element it becomes a living soul.

Every living thing is composed of these three eternal elements in an infinite number of forms, but all forms conform to this pattern.
Eternal progression suggest that the intelligence within each living entity can be added upon as it fulfills the measure of its creation in the particular sphere of learning in which it is placed and can progress from a lower sphere of learning to a higher sphere of learning even until a fullness is gained when “…All that my Father hath shall be given him.” “My purpose and glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.”
This presupposes that as the intelligence of the entity is increased through the learning experience, both the spirit and physical element structures encompassing it must be modified in order to accommodate and actuate the increase of intelligence. e.g. the increased capability of the brain and body to accommodate and actuate ever increasing mental and physical tasks.
The creations of God, including the heavens and earth and all things in them, then, are not only spiritual, but physical and can be identified as such in a location in God’s space.
The Kolob Theorem attempts to identify and locate these spiritual/physical creations of God in the Milky Way galaxy.

STATEMENT OF THE KOLOB THEOREM: All the creations of our God, Heavenly Father, are located in the sublime and orderly limits of the Milky Way Galaxy. God sits enthrone in the center of the galaxy, in the “midst of all things,” (D&C 88:13) and controls all the kingdoms His hands have made.

COROLLARY 1: LOCATION OF THE CELESTIAL KINGDOM: In addition to God’s Throne, the celestial worlds of Heavenly Father, and indeed the total celestial kingdom, are in the glorious hub, or central region of our Milky Way Galaxy.

COROLLARY 2: EMISSIONS FROM THE HUB OF THE GALAXY OBSCRURED BE A VEIL: The radiations of God’s light, which proceed forth from His presence (D&C 88:12) are filtered through veils of interstellar dust, which block our mortal view of the celestial kingdom. Whenever you penetrate this “veil,” you are within the fiery environment of the celestial kingdom.

COROLLARY 3: THE NUMBER OF GOD’S CREATIONS: While the number of God’s creations is beyond the ability of man to count, each one is known unto God. These creations are of finite number at any instant in time and consist of about 150 billion stars, plus their associated planets presently exist in the Milky Way Galaxy.

COROLLARY 4: LOCATION OF THE THREE DEGREES OF GLORY: The terrestrial and telestial kingdoms are located in successive concentric, doughnut-shaped rings, round about the celestial kingdom or central hub of the Milky Way galaxy; that our sun and earth are now located in the outer or telestial ring of the galaxy.

COROLLARY 5: LOCATION OF OUTER DARKNESS: “Outer Darkness,” the place of Satan’s final banishment (D&C 76:44-49) with the sons of perdition, is beyond the reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy, where there is no light or heat, no sun or stars.

COROLLARY 6: SEQUENCE OF EARTH’S DEVELOPMENT: Our planet earth was first formed in an orbit of Kolob in the celestial core of the galaxy. It migrated out through the terrestrial ring (the Garden of Eden period), and took up its present position in an orbit of the sun, for is mortal, telestial probation. The earth will return by being pulled away from the sun, passing again through the terrestrial ring (the Millennial period), and finally regaining its original glorious orbit about Kolob in the celestial kingdom.

COROLLARY 7: OTHER MORTAL WORLDS WITHIN THE MILKY WAY: Heavenly Father has many other worlds which follow the same pattern as earth and now exist in one of several stages of this progression; that many are now in their mortal period and are peopled with beings who look, act, and associate together as we do, for they also, are children of Heavenly Father.

COROLLARY 8: SPEED OF TRANSPORTATION: There must exist a speed of transportation of heavenly beings, faster then the speed of light, a speed such as the speed of thought.

COROLLARY 9: COUNTING TIME: Heavenly Father has a system of time – a clock, shall we say, similar to ours but ticking more slowly; in ratio as one is to360,000. Earth time is experienced only during the telestial probation of the earth; in addition a terrestrial “clock” must exist to measure the time in the Garden of Eden and the Millennium periods.

COROLLARY 10: IN HEAVEN’S IMAGE: Things on this earth are patterned after, or even descended from, heavenly originals, and we can understand heaven in part by studying this earth. God himself lives in a real place composed of actual materials on a crystal sphere – a great Urim and Thummin.

COROLLARY 11: CHILDREN OF HEAVENLY FATHER BECOME DEITIES: Faithful children of Heavenly Father who follow His celestial laws will have the opportunity, after their resurrection and exaltation in the celestial kingdom, to form new galaxies with Kolobs – each with a new hub, with suns and worlds as places of residence for thneir own countless spirit offspring giving rise to a new generation of the gods.

COROLLLARY 12: DEITIES IN ADDITION TO ELOHEIM: The un-numbered billions of external galaxies beyond our Milky Way are not the creations of Eloheim, but each has its own deity, its own celestial kingdom in its fiery core, with terrestrial and telestial kingdoms round about. Perhaps galaxies, in turn, cluster and revolve about ever-higher centers.

God lives as a glorified, perfect Man

(D&C 130:22) “God the Father is a glorified and perfected Man, a personage of flesh and bones, in which tangible body an eternal spirit is housed).
(A Proclamation to the World) “All human beings – male and female – are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal, identity and purpose.
“By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners”.

This pattern for earthly parents holds true for heavenly parents whom we call Eloheim or God the Father and Mother.

He is a glorified exalted man with a physical body parts and with passions.

He created the heavens and the earth

Moses 1:33 - “Worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purposes; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten.”
John 1;1-3 - The creative work itself is actually done by the Son, as he is directed by and uses the power of the Father. Hence the scriptures speak of Christ as the Creator of this world and of worlds without number. (Moses 7:29D&C 38:1-4; 6:22-24
All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
. Our galaxy contains at least between100 and 200 billions of stars

Kolob (Show relative size of stars)

His” throne” ( a physical “earth’ or planet) is “nigh unto Kolob”.
The huge star Kolob, “that was nearest unto the throne of God: (Abraham 3:2)
Kolob is the greatest” Abraham 3:16
It is largest of a group of huge governing stars. Joseph Smith names 3 plus 12 other huge governing stars in his explanation of facsimile #2 in the Book of Abraham Fig. 1 p 36.
Facsimile #2 explanation: “Kolob, signifying the first creation, nearest to the celestial, or the residence of God. First in government, the last pertaining to the measurement of time.”
It “governs all” the stars “which being to the same order as that upon which thou standest [earth] Abraham 3:16

Abraham 3:2-4: “And I saw the stars, that they were very great, and that one of them (Kolob) was nearest unto the throne of God; and there were many great ones which were near unto it; And the Lord said unto me; These are the governing ones; and the name of the great one is Kolob, because it is near unto me, for I am the Lord thy God: I have set this one to govern all those which belong to the same order as that upon which thou standest. …one revolution was a day unto the Lord, after his manner of reckoning, it being one thousand years according to that wherein thou standest.(earth).
If our Milky Way Galaxy is similarly formed as the Andromeda Galaxy, it would possess a tightly packed system of ancient, huge stars in the very heart of the galaxy. Of this, we have an independent corroboration through the scriptures
The total mass of these governing stars is 1/10 of total mass of galaxy.
Science: “Super massive activities” are emitted by this core of “governing stars.”

The physical locations of the three degrees of glory

Show galaxy of Andromeda; a sister galaxy of the Milky Way galaxy

There are three major kingdoms of God: Celestial, Terrestrial and Telestial (D&C 76 and 88)
The white zone - Hub is celestial,
Joseph Smith:”God lives in everlasting burnings”. (Teachings p 361);… in “circling flames of fire; also the blazing throne of God” (D&C 137:2-3) ,
God sits enthroned in the center of the galaxy, in the “midst of all things,” D&C 88:13)
“We were born in pre-earth life and lived with our Father in His Celestial kingdom. After this earth life the saints expect to return to Him in the celestial kingdom.
There are millions of other stars within the Celestial zone.
Red zone Terrestrial:

Location of Garden of Eden, Enoch’s city, Translated beings, location of the millennium, and permanent planets for those judged to be terrestrial.

“Now I Abraham saw that it (Eden) was after the Lord’s time which was after the time of Kolob, for as yet the God’s had not appointed unto Adam his reckoning.” (Abraham 5:13)
It would appear there are two types of Terrestrial worlds: First, there are temporary ones, like the City of Enoch, or the earth in the Garden of Eden period ( it had the same time reckoning as God, 1000 years as a day.) and during the Millennium. Secondly there must be some permanent terrestrial planets suitable for the eternal home of those who inherit that glory in all eternity.

Blue zone Telestial,

If God’s throne lies within the core of our Milky Way Galaxy, our earth, which is located in the outer area of the galaxy, is about 27,000 light-years from His throne.
The Telestial kingdom is the present location of the earth. In due time, the earth will leave this region of then galaxy for a higher kingdom. Like the terrestrial zone, which contained two types of worlds, so also must the Telestial kingdom contain two types of inhabited planets. Planets of the first type are only temporarily located here like the earth while in a mortal probation. Those of the second type are permanent Telestial worlds for the children of Heavenly Father who inherit that kingdom forever.”

“...and all things are by him, and of him, even God, forever and ever. And again, verily I say unto you, he hath given a law unto all things, by which they move in their times and their seasons; and their courses are fixed, even the courses of the heavens and the earth, which comprehend the earth an all the planets.

Outer darkness

“Outer Darkness,” the place of Satan’s final banishment (D&C 76:44-49) with the sons of perdition, is beyond the reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy where there is no light or heat no suns or stars.
At the outer edge of the Milky Way Galaxy lies a veil of dust, beyond which lies “outer darkness.” An outer ring of dust of this type can be seen in the external galaxy Sombrero.

The zones are separated by stellar dust layers. (the veil)

The radiations of God’s light, which proceed forth from His presence (D&C 88:12) are filtered though veils of interstellar dust, which block our mortal view of the celestial kingdom. Whenever you penetrate this “veil,” you are within the fiery environment of the celestial kingdom.
There are two aspects to this part of the theory, relative to the veil between the earth and the celestial center. The first is to keep the intense radiations of God’s glory from burning mankind and the earth. The second is to keep fallen man, now in a Telestial order, from looking into heaven and being in the presence of God while still in his probationary state.
Joseph Smith: God has said, let this be the center for light, and let there be bounds that I may not pass. He hath set a cloud round about in the heavens and the light of the grand governing…fifteen fixed stars center there… So God has set the bounds of light lest it pass over and consume the planets. “

All the creations of our God, Heavenly Father, are located in the sublime and orderly limits of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Many other world’s – all are God’s creations
Science reveals that the total mass of the galaxy is greater than the physical mass that can be measured – “dark matter”. Spirit element and Intelligence?

The Light of Christ

D&C 88;6- “He (Jesus Christ) that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of Truth;

which truth shineth, This is the light of Christ . (Every law, both spiritual and natural. “There is a law in heaven upon which all things are predicated”)
As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.
As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;
And also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made:
and the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth on which you stand.
And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through Him who enlighteneth your eyes,
which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;
which light proceedeth forth from the presence of god to fill the immensity of space –
The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth on his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.”

He is our Lord and Savior. From Him we receive the gospel of Jesus Christ which contains the laws, principles of righteousness, the oaths, ordinances and covenants which enable us to gain the intelligence necessary to become like our Father in heaven. His way is the only way!
D&C 88:36 –41. ‘All kingdoms have a law given: And there are many kingdoms; for there is no space in which there is no kingdom; and there is no kingdom in which there is no space, either a greater or a lesser kingdom. And unto every kingdom is given a law; and unto every law there are certain bounds also and conditions.

(Christ’s)…judgment goeth before the face of him who sitteth upon the throne and governeth and executeth all things. He comprehendeth all things, and all things are before him, and all things are round about him; and he is above all things, and in all things; and is through all things, and is round about all things;

He came to earth, lived as a mortal in order to exemplify how gods can live like men and how men can live like gods.

D&C 20:22 “He suffered temptations but gave no heed unto them” Though he was tempted, “He gave no heed”

The light of Christ comprised the complete spectrum of both spiritual and physical laws by which all things are governed. The visible light which we see by physical eyes is but a small portion of the spectrum. The spiritual light spectrum encompasses all the gospel principles. It is by the light of Christ that we comprehend these laws.
The radiations of God’s light, which proceedeth forth from His presence to fill the immensity of space.(D&C 88:12)

The entire spectrum of “light” (Light of Christ) may include not only visible light (rainbow), but gamma ray, x-rays, infrared rays, microwaves, radio waves and possibly thought waves, governing rays, inspiration, revelation love, peace, etc.
The light of Christ comprised the complete spectrum of both spiritual and physical laws by which all things are governed. The visible light which we see by physical eyes is but a small portion of the spectrum. The spiritual light spectrum encompasses all the gospel principles. It is by the light of Christ that we comprehend these laws.
Some spiritual laws within this spectrum include, love, patience, virtue, honesty, etc that are made manifest in the exercise of the attributes of godliness.
It also includes inspiration, testimony, prophesy, inspiration, revelation, confirmation, comfort, uplift, restraint and compelling forces, through which the Holy Ghost can guide us toward an increase of intelligence.
It may even include thought.
Thought then may also be a part of the spectrum of the light of Christ.
These rays are filtered through veils of interstellar dust, which block our mortal view of the celestial kingdom.
The veil “which hideth the earth shall be taken off, and all flesh shall see me together. And every corruptible thing…shall be consumed; and…shall melt in the fervent heat; and all things shall become new.” D&C 101:2-25
Joseph Smith (Alphabet and Grammar) “God has said, let this be the center for light, and let there be bounds that it may not pass. He hath set a cloud round about in the heavens, and the light of the grand governing…fifteen fixed stars enter there…So God has set the bounds of light lest it pass over and consume the planets.
Natural man would “wither and die” in God’s presence. Need “Spiritual eyes” to behold God.
Astronomers have recently found evidence of super massive activities at the center of several external galaxies. These are called black holes. A black hole is defined as a compact energy source of enormous strength.
These huge objects are thought to draw into them many near by stars using their enormous gravity.
“Though the earth may pass away, my word will never pass away”
Scientists have determined that the mass of some galaxies is far greater then the sum of all the radiant stars in them. They refer to the extra mass as “dark matter.” But no one is sure what dark matter really is. We wonder if spirit and intelligence could account for this extra mass. We know that all spirit is fine or pure matter (D&C 131:7).

The 150 billion stars plus their associated planets are all governed by “light of Christ”.

Sequence of Earth’s existence

Joseph Smith: Brigham’s Young’s “Journal of Discourses 17:143:

When the earth was famed and brought into existence and man was placed upon it, it was near the throne of our Father in Heaven. And when man fell…the earth fell into space, and took upon its abode in this planetary system, and the sun became our light… This is the glory the earth came from, and when it is glorified it will return again unto the presence of the Father.”

Our planet earth was first formed in an orbit of Kolob in the celestial core of the galaxy (near unto Kolob)’ It migrated out through the terrestrial ring (Garden of Eden stage?), and took up its present position in an orbit around the sun, for its mortal, Telestial probation.
The earth will return the same way
“The earth shall remove out of her place” (Isaiah 13:13)
“If he say unto the earth – move – it is moved” (Helaman 12:13)
“The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage.” (Isaiah 24:20)
There shall be earthquakes also in divers places and many desolations.” (D&C 45:33
The whole earth shall be in commotion.” (D&C 45;26)
“The stars shall become exceedingly angry and shall cast themselves down. (D&C 88:87
“The sun shall hide his face, and shall refuse to give light, and the moon shall be bathed in blood.” D&C 88:87)
“Every corruptible thing, both of man or of the beast… or of the fowls… or of the fish… that dwell upon the face of the earth, shall be consumed; and also that [every corruptible thing] element shall melt with fervent heat; and all things shall become new.” D&C 101:24-35)
Could the period in the Garden of Eden Stage with animal and plant life living and dying account for the presence of the remnants of pre-historic life thousands of years old prior to Adam, the bones but not the life of which survived the transition from the red zone of stars into its present blue telestial zone?
Could this explain the two creations story – Adam being the first life on earth and then replenishing it? Moses 3:5 “I, the Lord God made the heavens and the earth, and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew, for I, the Lord God, created all things, of which I have spoken, spiritually, before they were naturally upon the face of the earth. For I, the Lord God, had not caused it to rain upon the face of the earth, and I, the Lord God, had created all the children men; and not yet a man to till the ground; for in heaven created I them; and there was not yet flesh upon the earth, neither in the water, neither in the air; but I, the Lord God, spake, and there went up a mist from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. And I, the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul, the first flesh upon the earth, the first man also…”
Is it possible that after Adam was placed on this transplanted barren earth after being transferred from the terrestrial to the telestial zone of stars that the time it took to replentish it could have been relatively short, which would account for his written history beginning 4,000 years before Christ?
Could it be possible that the pre-historic bones dating back prior to this date could have been deposited into the earth during the time it was located in the terrestrial or even the celestial formative time periods, and then survived the transfer from these period to the present?

Speed of Transportation and communication

· The speed of thought is instantaneous.

· Light travels at rate of 186,000 miles per second.

· It would take 27,000 earth years for light from Kolob to reach earth at the speed of light

· One light year = 250 million earth circumferences

· The galaxy is 80,000 light years in diameter

Billions of other galaxies governed by other gods.

Exalted beings will live on our celestialized earth among millions of other celestialized earths that revolve around the hub of our galaxy.
As they progress they will ultimately create other earths and suns and solar systems, and eventually other galaxies patterned after the Milky Way galaxy in which we live.
“The exalted relatives of Eloheim have and will organize worlds and suns and will govern and populate galaxies as did all the gods before them. This pattern will be continued throughout all eternity. There will always be enough matter and space to allow this growth.”
The Terrestrial and Telestial earths inherited by those who receive this glory after their probationary or developing stages will be located in the zones of the galaxy prepared for them along side the earths with their inhabitants going through their probationary stages.

Conclusions and Summary:

God, our Father in Heaven, is a glorified, exalted man with a tangible body, and with parts and passions. He has the same image as man. He has all intelligence.
He lives on a tangible planet near unto the largest star in the universe. The star’s name is Kolob. It is located in the midst of His creations in the center of the Milky Way galaxy.
The cluster of stars, with accompany planets, immediately surrounding Kolob (that show white in the photo of Andromeda) along with the planet (throne) upon which God dwells is the Celestial Kingdom.
Surrounding this cluster is the Terrestrial Kingdom (showing red in the photo of Andromeda)
Surrounding this cluster is the Telestial kingdom (showing blue in the photo of Andromeda).
Outer darkness is outside the galaxy.
The kingdoms are separated by a veil of interstellar dust that obscures vision and filters various destructive rays that emanate from the central governing stars in the center.
Every living entity within this galaxy is governed by the light of Christ which fills the immensity of space.
The spectrum of the light of Christ is much broader than man can comprehend and reflects the fulness of intelligence that God in his exalted state possesses.
His promise to His children is that if they will keep the commandments, they will learn how to become gods themselves. “all that my Father hath shall be given them”..
Space travel and communication has the potential speed of thought.
